Feel like a local

South Africa. Country of contrasts !!

Apartheid - was a system of institutionalised RACIAL SEGREGATION that existed in South Africa from 1948 until the early 1990s. Apartheid was characterised by an authoritarian political culture based on baasskap (or white supremacy), which encouraged state repression of  Black AfricanColoured, and Asian South Africans for the benefit of the nation's minority white population

Nelson Mandela was called Madiba, and described as the "Father of the Nation". Mandela led efforts to negotiate an end to apartheid, which resulted in the 1994 multiracial general election in which Mandela led the ANC to victory and became President.

The economic legacy and social effects of apartheid continue to the present day,
what we can see almost everywhere.

They said: "Don't go there"
They said: "They will kill you there".
They said: "You will be robbed".
They said: "White people can't go to rural, black sides areas".
They said: " It is soooooo dangerous in SA".

So, we went ....
although with locals, but we end up having so much fun !!

I have spent almost 3 month in SA, working and living there than traveling as a tourist for a bit.
I have to say, that I haven't have any threatening situation, I didn't met any dangerous people !!

Sometimes I could feel a little bit unsafe, but more because of the pressure and vibes that I got from 'white side'. I lost few things like beannie or scarf, but because of silly me, that I left it somewhere not that someone came and took it fro my room!!

As every where in the whole world the are good and bad people,
but we can't put them all to one bag and generalize.

If you will show respect, good and peaceful heart it will come to you with double power  !!

💚💛

Rafalele Refeletsu!

Few times we had the opportunity to go down to the town and rural areas with locals.
Always everyone was smiling and greeting.

Kids were always curious and happy..

and kids know...
Of course they were looking at us, I am white, Daiki is Yellow.. but they do not care about this who we are, cuz they can feel pure, simple emotions flowing straight from our hearts.

There were not much options to go down. Once we beat the record (for me !) 23 kids and adults in one track. They are Ski Pups, coming up for skiing once or twice a week.

After one hour of shaking in the car on the gravel roads.
We made it and we could start an amazing weekend.

Zandile with Ayanda showed as a village.
We were walking around, saying hello, good evening and greeting with everyone.
We went to the local shops and inside the houses with visit for little talks, coffee or tea.

Zandile saw that there is a flag in front of the house.
Which means that in this house Lady is selling traditional african beer. UNKOMBO.
Umqombothi (Xhosa pronunciation: [um̩k͡ǃomboːtʰi]), from the Xhosa and Zulu language, is a beer made from maize (corn), maize maltsorghum malt, yeast and water. (wikipedia)

It's dark in the evenings, there is no lights on the streets. So, we are able to see amazing starts !!

White, Black and yellow !
Same blood 💙 same feelings 💚 same big hearts 💜

how wonderful is this little cutie !!

We spent there a night with 3 students, who are renting this sheck.
There is no bathroom and water in the house, so we had to take a shower in a big bowl. We cooked dinner, talked and listen to the music.

in SA people has the most straight backs in the whole world !

Just having fun !!

Rasluther Rasta from Barkley.

about 250 people worked in Tiffindell. After a few weeks we knew everyone, but we could not party together. There was a bar for white coworkers and a bar for black coworkers.

They said: "They will fire you if you will go there"
They said: "Don't go"

So we went...
once...
twice...
than few times..
we even made a party there before we left
and we had soooo much fun.

Thank You ALL for amazing vibes 💚💛💜
